I guess I am a lucky londoner as I am within walking distance to many famous and
historical places.
On Sunday I played tourist and got snappy happy,
here are a few of my snappy happy shots.

A pondering pigeon ahead....Spencer House

Spencer House -18th centry Palladian Mansion -The ancestral home of Dianna Princess
of Wales.
The Spencer Family have not lived in this, their London residence since 1926.
Following a 10 year referbishment, the building has now been restored
to reflect it's former splender.

The Central point of Spencer House
I love the desigh of the window!!

Spencer House in the distance from Green Park.
Spencer House is now open to the public by guided tour.
It was built between 1756 and 1766 for the first Earl.
Part of the building is now offices.
Visitors are able to tour many of the house rooms in their original glory.
and on selected days amble around the recently restored grounds
with their stunning views of Green Park.

Green Park at a turn..... now ambling through for tea at Buckingham Palace
Well near by....![]()
If you do visit London....

This is a graceful way to incorporate spirit and seasons
into your life...
* Slow down time
* Consult your soul while creating your schedule
* Make time for what is truly important in life
* Move in time with the seasons and the moon.
I nearly forgot to put my clock foreward....
did you remember??....![]()

Everybody has mixed views on Jade Goody and the response towards her from
the media.
I have read a few very insulting blogs regarding her and feel them insulting
as the young Jade has died.
I can understand the anger at the pomp and ceremony regarding her like royalty
but dont forget that is the fault of the media not Jade herself.
I have my own personal views on her and her ease to fame but putting that aside
she was an interest to the public whether you like it or not.
I too feel they have milked the Jade Goody story... but if the media did not buy into it
she would not have become famous..... ask yourself why?
Because she was just "Jade" her naturalness was appealing, even her silly ways.
Let the girl rest in peace and stop bullshitting her.
After all who in this world is so perfect
No one!!

Tomorrow 24/3/09 at 8pm is a great documentary telling the amazing and
touching story of Christian the lion.....
John Rendall and Ace Bourke who bought a lion cub from Harrods in 1969,
before hand-rearing the animal at their club on the Kings Road Chelsea
(my neck of the woods...
)
The cub lived with John and Ace in their flat in Chelsea....
The release and reunion of Christian the lion took place in Kenya more than
30 years ago.
It is on channel five and is a must to see or record!!
Here is the famous reunion... (check out more clips from side-bar)

I am recording it... and watching it...
Have tissues at the ready!!!

Once in a dream of night I stood
Lone in the light of a magical wood
Soul deep in vision that poppy like sprang....
and spirits of truth were the birds that sang...
and spirits of love were the stars that glowed...
and spirits of peace were the streams that flowed...
in that magical woods in the land of sleep

Lone in the light of that magical grove
I felt the stars of the spirit of love
gather and gleam round my delicate youth
and I heard the song of the spirit of truth
to quench my longing I bent me low
by the stream of the spirit of peace
that flow
In the magical woods in the land of sleep***

Poem by Sarojini Naidu
